Taylor Swift Reveals How Disappointed She Feels After Chiefs’ Christmas Day Loss, Says Her Love for Travis Kelce Reduced Immediately
Taylor Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium for Christmas.
The pop superstar, 36, stepped out to support fiancé Travis Kelce in a game-appropriate black and red ensemble, as the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, Dec. 25.
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer wore a long-sleeved black top with a $388 bright red bomber jacket by The Frankie Shop over it, and completed the outfit with a matching black miniskirt, dark tights and knee-high boots. Swift accessorized with a $4,200 Louis Vuitton Express PM bag.
She was seen entering the stadium ahead of the game during the NFL broadcast alongside her parents Andrea and Scott Swift. Andrea matched with her daughter in a red top with a black cardigan and pants.
Swift could be seen in a suite watching as the game unfolded in a clip shared by the NFL. Ultimately the Chiefs lost to the Broncos 13-20, with Kelce making five catches for 36 yards against the opposing team alongside third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun, per ESPN.
The last time Swift last watched Kelce play was on Dec. 14, one day after her 36th birthday, as the Chiefs played against the Los Angeles Chargers, who won with a 16-13 score. She wore a red and gold ombré coat by Ulla Johnson for that game.
The Grammy-award winner was seen at that Chiefs game with Travis’ brother Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie Kelce and her daughters, according to fan footage shared online. Jason and Kylie share daughters Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 8 mos.
In episode 4 of Swift’s new The End of an Era docuseries on Disney+, Swift opened up about the difficulty of maintaining relationships while on tour and how that all changed with Travis.
“Relationships on tour has always been something I’ve really struggled with because it’s always felt like the tour was taking away from the relationship,” she said. “Somehow, I was not able to do both and feel like I was nurturing both at the same time, even though I would try and try and try and try.”
“We both have jobs where we go out in NFL stadiums, and we entertain people for three and a half hours,” she noted. “His with considerably more violence than mine — but he’s not in heels. But it’s our passion. We’ve been chasing this since we were little kids.”
She continued, “I don’t think I ever thought I’d meet a guy who had that same trajectory. And I’ve realized that with this person in my life, that this was the right fit for me. You can have the two passions coexist, and they actually fuel each other.”
“Ultimately, we love cheering each other on. That’s rad,” Swift added.
